Kitchen, Bathroom and Laundry Renovation

Work involved in the installation, refurbishment, restoration and on-site repairs of or to a kitchen, bathroom other than work affecting any internal or external load bearing component of the building that is essential to stability of the building or any part of it, including things such as foundations, floors, walls, roofs, columns and beams.

A contract for kitchen, bathroom or laundry renovations can include any specialist work that is integral to the overall work, but such work must be carried out by the holder of an endorsed contractor licence or qualified supervisor in the relevant category of specialist work

Entry Requirements

All students will be required to provide the following prior to being enrolled:

  • Construction Induction White Card
  • Photo ID

Students must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years’ experience within building and construction (if RPL)
  • Have a valid USI
Course Requirements

To achieve the Kitchen, Bathroom and Laundry Renovation licensing outcome, the student must demonstrate competency in the following 9 units of competency:

  • CPCCBC4001A - Apply building codes and standards to the construction process for low rise building projects
  • CPCCBC4002A - Manage occupational health and safety in the building and construction workplace
  • CPCCBC4003A - Select and prepare a construction contract
  • CPCCBC4004A - Identify and produce estimated costs for building and construction projects
  • CPCCBC4005A - Produce labour and material schedules for ordering
  • CPCCBC4006B - Select, procure and store construction materials for low rise projects
  • CPCCBC4007A - Plan building or construction work
  • CPCCBC4008B - Conduct on-site supervision of building and construction projects
  • CPCCBC4009B - Apply legal requirements to building and construction projects
Delivery Methods

Students can obtain this qualification by either:

  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
  • Online
Duration

The expected duration to complete this program online will be approximately 9 months. The RPL process can be completed as quickly as the student supplies all of the required evidences and accommodates the complete process. We allow 6 months for this process, however most students will complete this within 1 month.

Fees and Funding

There is currently no funding available for this program. The fees for this program are $3500.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the units completed
