The Course

To be a licensed Electrician, you will be required to hold this qualification. An electrical licence is required before any electrical wiring work can be undertaken in NSW, regardless of the cost of the work and regardless of whether the work is residential, commercial or industrial.

There are no prerequisite units to enter this qualification. All students will be required to provide the following prior to being enrolled:

  • Construction Induction White Card
  • Photo ID
  • Be at least 15 years of age

Duration and Flexibility
For any program or course curriculum to be successful, duration and flexibility play an important role in the lives of the students therein. The expected duration to complete the UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician program will be 12 months.
The course will run 2 evenings per week (Tuesday and Thursday) and one weekend every six weeks.
The RPL process can be completed as quickly as the student supplies all of the required evidences and accommodates the complete process. ASTA allows 6 months for this process, however most students will complete this within 1 month.
One of the foremost features in terms of Flexibility that students can enjoy is the fact that ASTA is more flexible than other institutions in terms of time and convenience. For example, other institutions need a minimum of 3 nights a week from students.
Whereas in comparison, ASTA has the ability to shorten, compress and streamline the course so that the curriculum, its functional parameters, concepts, depth as well the instructor themselves have a direct, viable relationship with each student.

Funding

 

There is currently no apprenticeship funding available for UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician

The fees for this program is  $9750.

Certification

 

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be issued with a UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician. If the students do not complete the program, they will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the units they have completed.
